I have been seeing lately on the army list sub-forum about different ways to tool out characters.Everybody does it different and i made this topic for people to post tooled out characters and for other people to give advice or say hey i will use that config next game.So ill start out
Ring of Corin
He is good in 2000+ games so he can run around the board and nullify items on enemy heroes and lords.
I've had a mage like this before, and they work well against armies like chaos, because they can dart around the board while the chaos dudes can't get anywhere near.
Don't think it would be wise to use this kind of character elsewhere. For two reasons
1) Putting him in a unit would be needed to protect him, but since you want him to be nippy putting him in a unit would be a bad idea.
2) He's going to be as weak as anything to anything that can breath loudly.
Great for fun games!
He's good against armies with no shooting what so ever and no damage magic. In other words pretty much only chaos (and khorne at that). And they have too much dispel power. So not a great use for him in my opinion.
He will not be useless. If the army has no shooting then it doesn't matter to a certain extent. They can shoot spells at him and he can use his high elf-ness to help dispel the spell.
He will make good against the following armies
1) Vampire counts (remember that they can't shoot, and the vampire counts have some killer magic items. Killing blow on 5+ anybody?)
2) Chaos armies except khorne (too right that khorne armies are going to have too many dispel dice)
EDIT: Oooh just remembered don't send them in against necrachs. You're just asking to get butchered.
