    Sword of Hoeth

Just a quick question with an explanation, When playing against my mates HE army with my dwarves he claimed that this sword auto wounded on all hits <which i have no problem with> but he also claimed that my armour save was modified by the bearers strength stat

For example the guy using it was strength 4 so i was at -4 on my save

Is this correct? I dont believe so but he got pretty annoyed about it and claimed why would it say that it is modified by the bearers strength as all weapons work that way anyway?

So how exactlyt does this sword work?

    Thanks!

It says exactly that- modified by strength of bearer. Which is the same language used to describe hand weapons and the like in the BRB.

The reason it specifies that is so that it isn't treated as a super cheap runefang.

If you are strength 4, then it is a -1 armor save, like usual.

In general, the sword is useful only aginst lightly armored but high toughness beasties. Greater Daemons come to mind. And Forest Spirits.

    Hope this helps.
