A question for anyone who might be "in the know", since nobody really seems to have mentioned it yet.
The most recent army books like Dwarfs, Orcs and Goblns and Empire all recieved a "second wave" of model releases a few months or so after the book. The dwarfs got the miners and the lord on oathstone/bsb box, O&G got the black orcs, trolls and giant squig, and Empire got the flagellants, hellblaster and the wizards.
So basically does anybody know if there will be some more High Elf releases in a few months time following the same sort of pattern? This is probably more me hoping for more new stuff than anything else but I would be really annoyed if I were to buy something now only for it to be replaced quickly.
Did we know about the second wave of models for the other books about the time their book was released? If not then I still have hope of plastic elite infantry!
The only thing that I have heard about is a new box for the Seaguard, seperate from the spearmen to give them a more pirate elf theme. I wouldn't hold your breath for plastic elite infantry though.
New LOChat functions now avaliable.

Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.
Voor alle nederlanders:
The Dutch Legion
I'd like to see some new Spear Elves. Those giant hands just make the Spear units look like collections of Elves with some sort of glandular disorder.
Elves are supposed to be graceful and delicate. Hands like Andre the Giant's are NOT delicate.
WHFB: Dwarfs || WH40k: Imperial Fists, Necrons || WM/H: Trollbloods || BFG: Necrons
Like I said earlier I'm not really expecting anything, it's just that the last few armies all getting a second wave of releases made me curious.
Lots of people talking about it, and hoping, but absolutely nothing confirmed and no specific rumours.
As for the pirate seaguard, I doubt its going to happen.. It was well over a year ago that the rumour appeared, people claimed to have seen concept art. There was never any mention of models, or sightings of them. IMO it is unlikely.
At this stage, I'm not sure I'd be thrilled if GW did a second wave. I have most of the army I need, and have bought the expensive metal elite miniatures, I expect to complete my army in a month or two. If there were suddenly new models when I had old ones... Grrr. Maybe reavers will get done, but as far as I know (correct me if I'm wrong) none of the metals that got replaced for the other armies in a second wave got new packages initially. All our elite got new boxes.
new reavers would be cool...
i think we have just been looking at them for too long and hope they update them, een though they are perfectly good on their own. and i agree about the spearmen Quick... big... hands...
although the pirate theme fits in well with seaguard and coastal HE in general... even if you did your own conversions you could be the first person with an entirely badass pirate and High seas army. converting dragons to levthians and hydras, boat and beach bases, dirty and swathy sea robes... im getting a little carried away.
They have just made new box sets for themso i doubt it, but, the pics in the new book arent anythng we havnt seen before at all so the mind wanders where it wants
