sure he is good but for his points I would expect better why not have a prince on a sun dragon with a magic wepon and 5+ ward save I would think fluff and point wise he should be much better I quote" It was like the gods were fighting" and"asurian reborn" you see my point
I've tried a Tyrion list, and even accompanied by 5 Dragon Princes he can't pack enough punch and just gets targeted at range. Furthermore, for a fifth of your 2k army, he gives you no magical ability except Magic Resistance. Sure he is hard to kill, but for his points I would rather spend a bit more and get a prince on a dragon, an archmage or even his brother teclis!
definitely agree with above tyrion can occasionally get his points back but teclis is always worth it for just 75 more points.
Aye but tyrions much more fun.
He was definitly worth it in the old rulebook but now? The only 2 battles I've played with tyrion using new rules he has done too well. The first time he barely got to fight anything (I only needed my tryusty dragon mage to wreak havoc) and the second time he was forced to flee and was then chased down.

Tyrion can be great sometimes and sometimes not. I love taking him when building fluff, but for gameplay, I almost never take him, I prefer his brother.
