Hello, it has been awhile since I've had a chance to play with the new high elves and was just wondering if items like Armor of the Gods are still allowed in 7th edition. I certainly enjoy fielding the 7 strength elf lord every so often.
Well, technically in the Albion pdf it says something along the lines of the items are added to the treasury forever so yes. But really, new book overrules old stuff and if GW intended them to still be usable they would probably be in the new book. In the tournament scene the answer would definitely be no, for friendly games I would say ask your opponent.
^I echo the post above^
In friendly games I would absolutely take my chance to ask though.
5000p. High Elves
I wish! The Armour of the Gods was the sweetest piece of armor we pointy-eared wimps could ever hope for. I still wish they had added a "bracelet of strength" or something so that our elves could get something better than strength 5 most of the time. An elf on the ground is so vulnerable dying in one turn to just about anything. We've got 1 piece of decent armor, and 1 piece of decent wardsave, but not enough to go around for more than one noble. It's like they wanted us to not have all-cav armies, but then didn't give us the tools to make a decent infantry army.
