~I have not played against daemons of chaos quite yet, but I've seen them played and I've run a game or two with them. Oh dear god, when I read their army book I just about peed.
~First question: Can we stop a greater daemon of khorne with anything other than a prince on a star dragon?
~Question two: Can we stop them at all?
~I'm just wondering if anyone has any tricks up their sleeves regarding these retched little vermin that are daemons.
The new daemon book is badly written and very abusable, but yea the bloodthirster can die. Bolt throwers do a fine job as against most tough things and the battle banner is very useful vs armies which havent brought their stubborn banner. However I think we will be seeing alot more daemon armies high up in the tournament winners.
Nurgle Daemons are the worst to come across because they are just so damn hard. 5+ Ward followed by Regen. I've seen a unit of Sword Masters wiped out by Plague Bearers without taking one of the puss filled beasts down on more than one occasion.
Yes plaguebearers are lame, I played a daemon army the other day, mostly Khorne but with one unit of plaguebearers and herald. After I kileld everything else, it took 3 rounds of combat against my 10 swordmasters, 20 spearmen, BSB with battle banner and prince on star dragon to kill it. Possibly slightly too tough.
My friend has a tzeentch deamon army and he says he is shit scared of Dragon Princes because he said that his basic attacks on flamers and most other deamons hes got are flaming attacks. I loled and then wrote a list with 6 units of DPs and he cryed a littl. lol
