Good evening all,
Well folks, here we all are. It is my first attempt at making a 1500 pt force, so please don't laugh too hard. I don't want to get sued, cause you laughed yourself to death ;}
H1 Noble - hand weapon, lance, heavy armor, enchanted shield, reaver bow, and mounted on a great eagle. - 193pts
H2 dragon mage of caledor - hand weapon, guardian phoenix, amulet of fire - 395 pts
C 10 archers - 110 pts
S1 6 silver helms - with shields, musician, standard bearer - 162 pts
S2 6 dragon princes of caledor - musician, standard bearer,
banner of arcane protection - 235 pts
S3 5 shadow warriors - 80 pts
S4 1 tiranoc chariot - 85 pts
S5 lion chariot of chrace - 140 pts
Grand Total - 1500/1500
I have two points to make:
1. Shouldn't this be in the Army Lists section?
2. I like you're army, but there isn't much in it. If you're Shadow Warriors are skulking, and you're heavy cavalry is off somewhere, engaging elite infantry, what are the opponents other units doing? Lining up flank attacks? Killing the archers (highly doubted)? Iknow you might kill loads, but Strength 3 units only need 5s to wound against you're chariots, and there is a 1 in 2 chance of failing you're armour save. If I were you I would tone down the chariots and cavalry and add some infantry, like Phoenix Guard or Swordmasters.
1. I saw the army list section after I posted *slaps forehead*.
2. Thanks for the imput.
I'm not an expert on armies, but this one looks quite interesting. It should be fun to try out, and usually I'd point out one or two things that could be changed, but I think here I'll say try it out and see how you get on
Thou shalt remember:
Warhammer Fantasy armies do NOT have Codices. They have Army Books.

Well, I guess I'll help before they move this to the army list section.
My suggestion for the list would be to shift your focus to the cavalry and be sure that you have tough, competent units of cavalry to break the enemy lines, and also focus on your use of magic. Right now, you have one of the most aggressive mages in the game, and THE most expensive. You will find however, that his two spells will be dispelled by anyone who has atleast 2 lvl1 mages and a scoll. Against magically inclined armies, that expensive mage will be completely shut out, and you will be unable to defend yourself from their magical onslaught. I would look to either pick up another mage, or drop the dragon mage in favor of a defensively oriented Lv2 mage.
Finally, if you do decide that you want to shift this list towards a more defensive stance in combat, you could drop the Lion Chariot, and the DP musician and pick up a fair unit of 10 elite infantrymen to give you a center that you can base your flankers around.
Good first write up, and I think you should play test it as-is before deciding on any changes. Just to get a feel for what you have trouble with, and what units need to be reassessed.
