Surely Caradryan is the best way of killing vampires? Get him in a challange and the Vampire is probably going to die. he causes fear so is unlikely to run from combat, he has a ward save so can match the best Vampire saves, and he has flaming attacks!
Also, in the event that he does get killed - he will probably take the vampire with him, at a discount price.
He is probably my favourite special character atm (I haven't really played with Korhil that much yet, mind you) - with my tendency to take a block of 20 PG at the centre of my army it also just makes sense to take him.
like a couple of ppl will say here the best thing to do is use caradryan with a unit of WL and korhil in a unit of PG ull get the best result there
It depends on how the vamp is nittied out. He is much better if he is fighting something with unit strengh 2 or more (he then does D3 wounds). There are probly better way to mangle a vamp (trayion, i know i spelled it worng, comes to mind or a prince on star dragon). Caradryan hits are only S5 (-2 to armour saves) so a vamp still might get his armour save and he needs 4+ to wound the vamp. Against a Tomb King he is much better, where is flaming attacks do double the wounds and them have little in the way of armour.
