Ok so I've had a good look back through this thread and can't see one of these (maybe I just didn't look far enough). Anyway I thought we should share our best and worst moments with the proud and noble High Elves.
Best moment - vs Dwarves. Unit of Silver helms charges everything that comes within reach, Champion issues a challenge, dwarf player accepts with a runepriest. Silver helm champion slaughters the runepriest. Dwarves break and are over-run with the Silver Helms smashing into another Dwarf unit. Champion challenges.
Long story short my Silver Helm Champion butchered 2 runepriests and the champions of 4 Dwarf units. I'm thinking about making him my general
Worst moment - My RBT continually failing to hit a giant with the single shot.
There is no such thing as a superior martial art, only superior martial artists.
Worst would be..
Charged my prince on star dragon with a star lance into a unit of 15 Ghouls. Muffed on most of my attacks, ended up loosing combat by 1, failed the leadership test, and i rolled a 5 on a 3D6 on my break and got run down lol.
Best would be I got charged by a Blood Thirster with the flaming attack weapon against a unit of 10 PG, but i gave my champ an Amulet of Fire and issued a challenge he accepted, and got demolished in combat res haha.
My worst was when i used teclis in a battle. This was the previous edition where he could re roll on a miscast. I roll a miscast the first time, the second time another miscast. For my miscast result, I roll 2 >.<
If a Million Guardsmen die, that's a statistic. If one marine dies, that's a tragedy.
Best would be when my unit of 9 white lions and korhil got charge dby a unit of 15 chosen warriors and exalted champion and beacause of ASF and some really good rolls I manages to kill 7 chosen warriors and win the combat by 5 points!
Worst would be when my lion chariot got shot down in the first turn by 20 night goblin archers
I've barely played at all despite collecting and painting rather a lot of minitures. I played my second game with my High Elf army a couple of months ago despite having the army for a couple of years.
The best moment was probably taking two wounds off my mate's Lord of Change with the very first shot of the game. Unfortunately it was downhill from there. Despite that lucky shot, my bolt throwers failed to finish that Lord of Change off. It charged the flank of my spearmen, who fled due to terror, straight through my Phoenix Guard causing them to panic. That resulted in my Spearmen, Phoenix Guard, Archmage, Mage and BSB all running away. They didn't survive much longer.
Thou shalt remember:
Warhammer Fantasy armies do NOT have Codices. They have Army Books.

My best moment was having a unit of my archers -after much of my army is destroyed- take a stand and shoot against a charging LM Stegadon. After randomizing hits, the unit devastated the little howdah full of skinks, leaving the Steg unridden. The beast stopped right infront of my unit, and it's "unridden" roll meant that it would only attack something which charged it. I actually came back to win that game.
Worst moment? My army was run over by a minivan...
2weeks of repairs later, and they were back on the field
Best moment was taking out my opponent's Orc chariot (which his general was mounted in) in the first turn of the battle. Second best moment was my prince in a unit of White Lions besting the same Orc general and the unit of Big 'Uns (that he scurried into after the charriot was shot out from underneath him) in close combat and watching the unit scurry off towards the edge of the battlefield as the unit was below the 25% original strenght mark.
Worst moment was when my Dragon Princes and Silver Helms were charging in against Great Swords and Swordsmen respectively, doing about 1 wound each, losing on combat resolution, fleeing about 3" and being wiped out by the pursuing units.
Second worst was at the end of the battle mentioned in best moment when I remembered that my White Lions are Woodsmen, and so could have shot through the forest in the middle of the board and attacked the unit of black Orcs.
Other worst moments are generally the same - forgetting that White Lions are Stubborn, forgetting a unit or character has a shooting weapon they can use, or just plain forgetting to shoot.
Best when my unit of phoenix guard charged and on the other side of the board my dragon mage charged. The units the charged both fledd and the units beside them fled and the unit behind them fled all thanks to panic. He lost 4 units that way. I then overwhelmed the rest of his army and destroyed him. Massacre
Worst moment probably when I forgot the magic phase with teclis 2 mages and the banner of sorcery
Daemonic cheese-how? Well, you would need to start with daemonic milk, i guess...
Worst moments are easy, but aside from forgetting stuff my cavalry charges are legendary. My favourite is, 6 Dragon Princes charge into a unit of 9 Witch Elves, do 1 wound and lose the combat after the witches kill 3 of them, (Dragon Princes didn't flee for another turn though).
Best moment in recent memory, playing Dark Elves again and casting my fourth irresistable force in 2 turns (3 in turn 1 for +9 to cast and in the second turn to get +6 to cast) that crippled the magic phases enough for my troops to be able to destroy his army.
Mine was when my squad of Dragon Princes charged 4 units killed all of them and didnt lose any of there number.
My Worst was when my Archers didnt kill anything for the whole game [ they ended up getting killed].
