hey guys I have been pondering the idea of fielding some reavers in a list coming up but im a little too scared to pay the cash for them and not like them when I play them. Also the look of the model doesnt fit in very well with the rest of my army (I gave my army a nagarythe feel) and was wondering if anyone had any good ideas for a good conversion without spending too much cash?
The easiest way I can think of converting the ellryion reavers without having to spend the money is to try and convert a box of these:
With the correct modifications, such as dropping the cloaks, and using spare quivers from the spearmen box sets, you could create some really nice reavers
Just my thoughts
New LOChat functions now avaliable.

Yeah glade riders are a good start.... Or a combination of silver helms and archers, or just whatever random bits you have lying around.
Mine are going to be made up of the really cool new chariot horses, silver helm cloak legs, glade rider legs, and archer/spearmen bodies, arms and heads.
thanks guys I think thats going to look really nice using the spearmen/archer bits.
just my oppinion,
order some wood elf horses, an a unit of shadow warriors. now vile of the armour between there legs, and i think they will fit on the horses and will have bows and quivers with them. and if you want you can use some remaining spears from the spearmen to put on there back.
maybe a little less cheap, but i think it will look nice
I quite like mine, they are gladeriders horses and legs, with archer bodies and arms and heads, the heads are lightly converted to have ponytails and slightly longer hair to differentiate from archers a bit.
You do have to do a bit of filing to make the pants look High Elfish rather than wood elven but the legs fit the horses so snuggly and they look like they are riding rather than just sitting there.
There is a picture of one unpainted with no head in the link in my signiture.
I wonder how spearmen torsos would look with archer arms and heads?
Those work. They look ok, as the archers have a vestigal shoulder pad on them...

I used the chariot horses mixed with silver helm champion legs and torsos and spearmen arms. All the heads were bare from various head combinations (even more with dark elf heads now) They look great. I've bought more horses to make my dark riders from them as well.
For mine which actually look great which was a surprise I did the following
1 stuck silverhelm legs on silver helm horse
2 glued an archer body with either the spear from the spearmen that is held at the base or simply stuck some archer bows.
3 stuck a spearman head on top and put the feathers on either side of the helm.
Glade guard horses are better in my opinion but I am cheap.
Daemonic cheese-how? Well, you would need to start with daemonic milk, i guess...
