I'm getting back into the Hobby and have always found elven races to be the most interesting. I used to play empire so I'm looking for more of a specialty/elite army. I want to buy assembled unpainted models and have an oppurtunity to buy two different lots of models. I was wondering which one is better or if they both have some wasted units/models. Thanks in advance!
Also, I don't believe that posting lots that I can buy is breaking any rules but if it is sorry! I will delete it right away if there is a problem.
Here is the lot:
Prince on Dragon
Mage on foot
Noble on foot
10 Swordmasters F/C
5 Dragon Princes
2 Repeater Crossbows
4 Shadow Warriors
There is also this lot which is more expensive but also what I'm looking for:
15 Phoenix Guard (Full Command)
15 White Lions of Chrace (Full Command)
29 Swordmasters of Hoeth (Full Command x2)
1 White Lion Chariot
1 Tiranoc Chariot
10 Dragon Princes (Full Command)
8 Silver Helms
2 Mounted Commanders
1 Unmounted Commander
3 Repeater Bolt Throwers w/ crew
I would go with the first lot, then expand it as you see fit. However if the second lot is really cheap then you may as well snap it up.
The problem with the 2nd lot is that there is a heck of a lot more than you need to create an army, and there is stuff you probably won't unse much, and you may still want to increase some unit sizes Phoenix Gaurd in particular.
The problem with the first lot is that you will only have enough to make 1 kind of army for a while till you have added some miniatures and taken it in the direction you choose.
Thanks a lot for the imput. I just talke to the guy tonight and he no longer has the dragon but has 15 more spearmen and another mage. I think this benefits me more in the long run. It looks like I'm going to buy the first lot.
You are right, the first lot offers a great base that I can expand but I will try to make small changes at first with maybe characters to try and add some flexibility.
Thanks for the help!
