200p or up
150 or less
With the new awesome griffon figure if have to say i'm tempted to wield it in battle.. only pointswise it's just overpriced! for 30p more you can have a dragon.
So my question is: How much should a Griffon cost to be a serious option for your army?
Look at the statline and special rules, and compare them with other mounts or even monsters like a hydra...
I'm of the opinion that any monster mounts are actually over priced in WHFB. Griffons are an incremental benefit in that they are additinal wounds, but cannot be protected in the same way as a Pegasus or an Eagle by the magic items of the character. A few more less obvious protective armours or wards would be nice to protect the entire model. Maybe even allowing a monstrous magic item list would be nice as an additional class, after all monsters are prestige mounts, stands to reason they would be well protected.
Saying that, its a Terror causer, has wings, a decent on-ground move, not bad I ad is tougher than the elf sitting on top so anything short of a lance, great weapon or other monster is going to be needing 5s or 6s.

On the exact point cost, I'm very unsure, but I'm with you on the fact that it is currently over priced.
Played smartly, though, devastating.
I see it as an expensive alternative War Machine hunter, lone character hunter, fleeing unit charger and late game mop up unit. The only problem is that most likely your general will be sitting atop it and if he dies...
5000p. High Elves
I do love the model, but i just cant justify it for myself why i should use it.
