Hi guys I am still new to high elves and got my first 8th edition game coming up but there is one thing I am unsure about I have herd that high elves can reroll missed rolls to hit is this true and if so what units can reroll ?
Speed of Asuryan - Always strikes First is what allows us re-rolls, so you need to refer to the rules for Always Strikes First.
If you have Always Strikes First and higher (or equal) initiative you get to reroll your misses in combat.
So since Speed of Asuryan grants us ASF with any weapon we wield and our base Initiative is 5 we reroll to hit against every unit except for a few, The ones I know of are Dark Elves, Cold One Knights and Black Guard and almost certainly Wood Elf Wardancers, and Wild Riders, there are probably units in Skaven (Gutter runners maybe) maybe, Beasts and possibly Chaos (Chaos Warriors are I5) but there aren't many units that have initiative over 5, High Elves only have Dragon Princes and Phoenix guard.
Against any unit with ASF both units strike simultaneously with neither allowed rerolls.
None of our Monsters or mounts get to reroll, only the elves themselves.
Thank you that helps a lot.
