Interest in High Elf Cavalry?

Hello all,

I have been a member of these forums for quite a while but have taken quite a bit of a break from both the hobby and the forums. But now I'm back! *loud cheers, applause, and whatnot*

Anyway, over the past week I have come into a very large High Elf army that I acquired off of Bartertown, I wont bore you with the detail of the trade, lets just say I could easily field a single army of 5000+ points and still have plenty of models left over.

After creeping about the forums for a while and reading, rereading, and re-rereading the army book and rulebook, I have come to the conclusion (along with most other people) that cavalry, bolt throwers, and lion chariots are not useful in my style of play.

So here I am, on bended knee, asking if there is any interest amongst the high elf forum (or any other forum) in purchasing my unused cavalry, bolt throwers, and lion chariots?

If nobody on here is interested in them they will be going up on ebay.

Don't worry about not wanting the models, I really didn't expect anybody to come right up and buy them all.

But I don't give up that easily, I'll keep pestering people until I can get them sold! *evil laugh*

Shame your in the states, Im looking to upgrade my HE army by about 500 ish points and a few of these units may of been nice

Im also sitting on 30 He-calves myself and 6 rbts. That's why my HE army is shelved until a new book comes out that support my 5th, 6th, and 7th edition army builds.

Sorry for the long wait for a reply, if anybody is even watching this anymore I don't know.

I have tallied up how many units I want to get rid of.

1x RBT with crew

3x lion chariots (one is missing the driver and co-pilot, two have both but co-pilots are missing weapon arms, this is how I got them, I do have bits for them though)

15x silver helms (one of the champions has a broken sword and some of the ponies tails are broken off (kinda makes them look cool though))

15x reavers from IoB set

I would like to get rid of the above stuff but I'm not gonna hold my breath for anybody wanting them on here. If nobody wants them on here I will either part them out (everything I got is put together with cheap superglue) or sell them on ebay.

I also received in the deal:

1x oop high elf lord

1x oop high elf spearmen

3x oop archers

1x high elf lord on griffin (I don't ever plan on using this but it is pretty)

2x IoB mages

35x archers

30x spearmen

30x sea guard from IoB

30x Swordmasters from IoB

I pretty much got all of this for free. I traded off some of my unwanted 40k models and paid shipping. I think I got away with a pretty good haul.

If you don't have any Eagles, I would hold on to the reavers, units of 5 of them make reasonably cheap redirectors and they can hunt warmachines or at least tie them up for a few turns. They are actually slightly better at it in my opinion, just not 35pts better at it unfortunately so they normally get left at home but without eagles, they are nice models and I would hold onto them.

I was thinking about getting some eagles with the next pay check, I never thought of using the reavers as hunters. Since I already have them I might as well use them. Thanks for he advice.

By the way, I was browsing through your WIP thread. You have some pretty awesome looking models.

Cheers Malacoda, take some photos of your elves as you get them painted, its always cool to see other peoples take on the mini's. There are some very cool Elves on here (How is your army painted?) painted in ways that I would never have thought of.
