Hey, I'm new to High Elves, and heres an all-cav army I made after looking at the forums a bit..

Characters
Commander
+Lance, Heavy Armor, Shield
+Elven Steed, Barding
+Radiant Gem of Hoeth
142

Lvl 2 Mage
+Seer, Jewel of the Dusk
+Elven Steed, Barding
192

Core
5 Silver Helms
+Heavy Armor, Shields
+Champion, Musician
136

5 Silver Helms
+Heavy Armor, Shields
+Champion, Musician
136

Special
6 Ellyrian Reavers
+Bows
+Musician
151

5 Dragon Princes
+Champion, Musician
157

Tiranoc Chariot
85

Totals
Cost: 999 points
Power Dice: 6
Dispel Dice: 4

As you can see, its all-cav, and it has somewhat heavy magic... My one wish is that I could have some great eagles, or another chariot. But I figure that a single great eagle won't be too effective (die quickly), and that I can't afford two, and I can live without them.. And for the extra chariot, I figure that even if they do kill the chariot with a high-strength attack, it will at least have drawn fire away from my cavalry...

So what do you think? All comments are welcome!

Nice list, obviously you're counting on getting in some flank charges while engaging enemy units to the fore. The only thing that this list lacks is a big combat winning unit of cav (eg. with 1-3 ranks, possibly even war barrer for CR bonuses).

I also generally find reavers not to be too useful.

Hope taht this helps!
The iron crowned is getting closer,
Swings his hammer down on him,
Like a thunderstorm he's crushing,
Down the Noldor's proudest king.

Under my foot, so hopeless it seems.
You've troubled my day, now feel the pain.

So how's this revised list? I took away the reavers and put all their points into making one large silver helms unit.. I feel like I don't have enough units, I'm imagining facing a Dwarvish army with three big infantry units, with supporting artillery and ranged.. (which a Dwarf army can afford for 1000 pts)

Hmm, cannon's you say... I'd take the chariot out then, as it's automatically destroyed on a s7 or greater hot, and you might as well paint a target on it as they'll be shooting at it until it's dead. In that case, drop the chariot, take the mage off the horse and hide him in woods and grab yourself two great eagles to take out his cannon on turn 2.

Characters
Commander
+Lance, Heavy Armor, Shield
+Elven Steed, Barding
+Radiant Gem of Hoeth
142
Drop this character

Lvl 2 Mage
+Seer, Jewel of the Dusk
+Elven Steed, Barding
192
Drop his steed, drop the jewel, get 2 dispel scrolls, drop Seer and add Channeler.

This gives you a defensive mage that can cast his spell with 3 dice (id opt for Second Sign of Amul from the Lore of Heavens due to the chariot) .

Core
5 Silver Helms
+Heavy Armor, Shields
+Champion, Musician
136
Add another Silver Helm, and drop the musician unless you can spare the pts.

10 Silver Helms
+Heavy Armor, Shields
+War Banner (+1 CR)
+Champion, Musician
285
Drop this to 6 Silver Helms. Drop the SBearer and the musician.

Special

5 Dragon Princes
+Champion, Musician
157
Add another Dragon Prince. Drop musician.

Tiranoc Chariot
85
Always a good choice.

These changes should give you 257 pts to spare.

Add 6 Silver Helms with Full Armour and a Champion and 5 Reavers with Spears and a Musician.

This gives you 4 hard cav units, a chariot, and a fast cav unit. Tese should be able to deal with most things you encounter. Optionally, shave off 50 pts somewhere (perhaps drop 2 silver helms and have units of 5 instead) to gain a Great Eagle which would be a valuable addition to this list.

Just my thoughts
