In a couple of weeks, im playing against a friend who is fielding either High Elf, or Beastmen.
I would like comments on my armylist. I would like to test out spirit hosts, since ive read on this forum, that they are pretty good, so this armylist is a bit of a test.

My plan is to raise a new regiment of skeletons, and get both regiments to have about 20 skellies each. The thrall will lead the first regiment, so the graveguards will have to do on their own.
So, what am i missing, what should i change, what is perfect as it is?
hmmm.....you have 2 nice blocks of infantry, good screening with ghouls(which you should split in to 2 units), decent magic, a good fighter, but NO SUPPORT!!! You need some fast flankers to beat the enemy in combat and autobreak them due to fear.
You really need to add some Black Knights or some Dire Wolves for support. The Thrall should have Iron Sinews, and a Dispel Scroll would be a nice idea against High Elves, as Flames of the Pheonix will DESTROY you. :shifty:  :shifty:
-My Warrior Priest will challenge your Chaos Lord
-OK, my Chaos lord will slaughter you
-My warrior priest with Van Hortsmen's Speculum will take his 7 Str 8 attacks. You die.
-Take your model off the table, he's dead
Yeah, I thought about running a necro army of 1000 pts for an upcoming local tourney. If you use the necromancer army list at the back of the army book, you can get your skellies and zombies cheaper. In fact, everything's cheaper, to compensate for the lack of fighting ability. You'd have to drop the thrall, but you could pick up a wight lord, which are pretty good too. You can really get number on your opponents doing that.
I dont know how to get the points available to buy wolfes. Its a good point though, so ill have to see which units to reduce.
hmm im not quite sure i would dare field an army without a vampire.
I really should try it out though, so ill make an armylist, and ask my opponent if its allright.
You could use the necro list free up pionts just by keeping as is, drop the thrall and spirit hosts for a wight lord on horse and a good unit of black knight as a flanker. and you might have enough points to get another necro in there!
Well, my friend agreed to me using the necrolist, so im:
* dropping the thrall
* adding a wight lord on foot, with Sword of Kings
* adding a regiment of 5 knights with banner and champion
* dropping the ghouls (illegal in necro list)
* reducing the size of regiments
* adding another skelleton regiment (cause i need 2 core)
Im still keeping the spirithosts, as this little armylist is made for the purpose of testing spirit hosts.
The list is much different now, it will be exciting to see if it works.
