I was just thinking idly about how cool the White Lions are. And the Swordmasters too for that matter. Everybody comes with cavalry lists. Well, here's an infantry list. 1500 pts is a good number, you can take more than just the basics, but it's still a comfortable size.
Commander Beleg 126 w/White Lions
Pure of Heart
Talisman of Protection
Mage Sulwyn 180
lvl 2 wizard
16 Spearmen 206
12 Archers 144
6 Silver Helms 173
5 Shadow Warriors 75
15 Swordmasters 245
Tiranoc Chariot 85
14 White Lions 267
Banner of Sorcery
I think it looks good. It looks only to be lacking a bit on the magic defense. But since I've got magic drain, it might also work out against the more magic-heavy armies.
First I think your points are off. I could be wrong but I got your commander at 120 (don't think you have to pay for the great weapon) which gives you 1495 pts and you could use some of your extra points to get him HA. Maybe switch one swordmaster to a white lion, since they are equal points cost your still at 1499 pts, but now I think it fits better with the character with the swordmaster honor joining a unit of swordmasters. Don't know where to find the points or what to do about the rare slot but maybe make room for a repeater bolt thrower or at least add one if you expand the army.
well, i think he is putting the hero in the white lions because of the bodyguard rule, as well, he has the banner in there which the hero will help to protect due to the fact that the unit will obliterate most things it comes up against...
Sorry about the points. Those 6 were for dragon armour. I've edited it now.
A friend of mine loves magic and he loves the lore of fire. So ...
Or should I keep it with heavy armour anyway? Too bad he hasn't got the points on magic item to take Armour of the Gods.
And the reason I put the Commander with the White Lions is not only for the bodyguard rule.
It's also that the WL strike last in secondry rounds due to their great weps. Thanks to the Swordmaster honor, the Commander will probably strike first (high I). That'll save the lives of quite a few White Lions, who've only got a small save in hth combat.
The Swordmasters don't need that sort of protection. They will always strike first, unless they are charged.
Yah... that is true... The captain will have the chance to deal 3 wounds before they get a chance to strike back... I think its a good idea, especially if you put your banner of sorc in there... thats too many points to be messing around with...
All infantry? whats that Chariot doing in there...?
Nice list, was going to comment on commander point's but was beaten to it...
I like HE all- infantry, have tested a few lists myself, and was 3-5 or something...
EDIT: It's 'Anulii,' with one 'n' and two 'i's'
A man's at odds to know his mind, for his mind is aught he has to know it with.
IMO the chariot is belongs more in an infantry list than in a cav army. Since it can't march, it can't keep up.
In this army it's perfect for hard flank charges to help the infantry. While the SH hold the open flank.
The other is held by the Lions.
And excuse me for the mistake about the Anulii.
