I hope all the high elves players read this. Um well i play warhammer 40k and i thought i might soon play warhammer so i wanted some advice, I thoght high elves would be a good army to get, if anyone disagrees plz tell me. Is warhammer pretty much just the same as warhammer 40k like move 6" assault 6" shooting the same and also what does the M stand for in their profiles.
Thanx hope you can help.
Well, what the 'M' means answers both parts of your questions. It means movement, in inches, most things go slower than in 40k but they can march which is a double move.
The basics are the same but there are a fair few subtle differences, warhammer is more complex and more fun IMO than 40k.
Any army can be good in the right hands, so asking if HE are good is a pretty general and unanswerable question. They are harder to use than a lot of other armies though, they are a bit fragile and take a while to use well.
Sounds like the first thing you need to do is to get hold of the rulebook. Either borrow it from a friend, or buy it from your local GW outlet.
The system is quite different to 40K as you don't get an assult phase at all, it is all dealt with in the one movement phase. M stands for movement on the stat line.
As for High Elves, they are a very good army, very balanced. Good core troops, hard hitting cavalry, devistating magic, and good shooting. There are a couple of sticky posts at the top of this forum that will explain this better than I can, read those too.
Lastly welcome to Warhammer and the asur
