I personally don't use them, but lots of people do successfully. If you use them correctly and use terrain they can be effective, scout and hide forward in woods to march block, snipe a bit etc. I suppose it depends on your playing style, and whether you want them or not. They can be effective though.

i personaly like them although i use my old woodie waywatchers and scouts for them 3 waywatchers n 2 scouts for my group of looks pretty good, they protect flanks pretty well although theyll most likely get raped if their doing that if they charge a flanking unit, do that only if its needed otherwise war machines and lone mages are their role + harrasment, use their range

hmm... Well since me and my friends are lazy/poor we really dont have much terrain so they wont do alot their. But i like the idea of sniping and harrasment. I plan on using them kinda like bait seeing that they can move farther then most of my oppents ill just keep moving them back and sniping away until they come within reach of my SH or what not.

I would use them for march blocking and causing panic tests for flank charges against low leadership armies like skaven. Plus mage duty, obviously.

o, alreight. Would they be able to help me with my friends mage, cause he keeps his mage close to his units of skinks and saurus so i cant target him directly with my RBT or anythin else.

If you can draw the protective unit into a combat, charge the stupid mage. I think that 5-10 shadow warriors is more than a match for him in combat.

My friend uses them horribly, he uses them as archers but better and makes absolutely no use of their scouting rule. He just leaves them out in the open for my cold one riders to run over..... such a terrible waste of elvish life........
