Ok...so I was sitting on my bed one night, when all of a sudden, I had an epiphany!!!
I finally decided on a color scheme for my High Elves...White and Gold!!!
So...any comments...would this look good???
Well the best way to find out if it will look good is to try a test model and see how it looks.
I think the combination could definitely work, and would look great if done properly. It would be hard to pull off though, and having all your troops with large amounts of gold on them might look a bit odd. Maybe reserve the white and gold for your characters?
personally i think you have to go easy with gold, just so that you can distinguish between your core and your elites. Maybe add another colour to your white and gold?
Which colors would you suggest?
Red always looks nice. But Green is a great colour to use along with gold I've found. Just don't use red and green together. Unless you want to be called Santa's.

Especially not red, green and gold.... Ho ho ho.. Honestly though, as overused as it may be, white, blue, and gold look fantastic together, but as milla said, you might wanna use gold sparingly on rank-and-file
I posted earlier in another thread about using yellow and red scheme. I've now painted an entire model in like a year, and although my painting skills are at a beginner's level, the blend is really nice. As far as white and gold, that could be nice. The core Vs elite thing could be a problem, but sho says you can't distinguish between troops by using another colour? Go test some. It's always nice to see a new scheme.
