Does anyone mount there princes (OR Nobles for all you Dark elves out there) On dragons?? Is it worth the points, and is it better just to keep him on a horse or on foot.

Also what about the other monsters, great eagles and griffins? Perhaps the griffin is just a cheaper flying and terror causing mount

Sorry theres alot to answer. I hope u can manage it all!

A Promise to a dead man means nothing.

I dont normaly mount my heros on anything more than a steed. but in a high point battle dragins are awesome if you can keep people from shooting at it. Id take tyrion before a prince on a dragon though.

In a 3000pt battle, take a Prince with Helm of Fortune, Bow of the Seafarer, HArmour and Shield on a Great Eagle and watch him screw over the other army royally.

Like it's been said only in high pts games, but I've never really thought of mounting one on a dragon or a monster. I think it makes him to much of a target, and that's not a good thing for a high pts costing character with a T3. But in saying this it would make the game a bit different and may help save a few of your troops from all the missile fire the dragon will attract.

Never any thing above a horse, but iv toyed with the idea of one on a griffon. Im going to moung my dragon princes on small dragons, to make them look like they are on firedrakes.

i know if i played high elves, i would take a prince on a dragon mount, one becasue thier dragons, two becausse i like the model of imrick so much, and three because dragons are so much better than lothrean sea guard
Quote of the week: "dude, for a whole hour, i would fall asleep!"

Dragons aren't cheesy, they're part of the HE fluff. Long ago the Dragon Princes use to always ride into battle upon the back of a great fire drake, but now they can't wake them. But I would only use a Dragon in games of 3000pts +, no less. It bumps the cost of the character sky high.

In any battle 2500 points or under dragons are a little cheesey.

In games that amount it would be stupid to use a dragon, they eat up pts like nobodys business. So yeah they would be cheesy then.
