I wanted to ask something not that relevant to modelling itself. When painting for example a chaos warrior unit does the weapon you chose for the specific models make any difference when it comes to official tournaments ?
For example having him holding a shield or two weapons or a flail would actually mean he should have these equipped ingame too in an official battle or they are completely for aesthetic reasons only?

Well,to answer your question,yes,it should be what the person ha. BUt as long as you are just in friendly games with friends and at the GW store and your opponent is not an arse I don't think they'll care.....

heh, so one of the more ingenouous ways I've seen this accomplished on the cheap(alternate weapons for regiments) is to make one FULL rank of each weapon combo type, that way you can declare that the regiment is armed with whatever weapons the frong rank is armed with. Though Its not legal for tourneys its a great way to save some money.
