i was interested if ne one had any sweet tau terrain i could possalby see for inspireation im interested in makeing a tau city.
Hmmm a tau city you say...
Ok one tip.... watch a ton of sci fi movies... they should give some ideas!
Ok seriously, it can't be that hard.
Just make sure to make the general impression of the buildings correct.
Strong durable buildings, plenty of exteriour support beams (not free hanging ones but blending into the walls), and the always caracteristic dome features on all buildings.
look at the current tau model range to get a feel for what they are, most of there stuff seems to be pretty sleek and high tech looking, so there citys should probbly have the same feel.
Also heres a link about a tau city http://us.games-workshop.com/games/40k/tau...tau_terrain.htm
they painted those guardsman so crappy. tsk tsk <_<

Please stay on topic... we're not interested in the guardsmen.. rather the buildings.
Anyone got any good suggestions on what colours to use?
WHITE!! ofcourse. Tau use white buildings, i have read some fluff about them and in all of that the buildings are white or a very light collor. white looks the most futuristic imo. maybe if you build somewhere else then in a city, like an outpost in the jungle, you could use a camo-pattern or when building something in a dessert you would ofcourse give some sandy collors.
--for the greater good--
I woulden't say that all their buildings should be stark white, but light colours I can be more agreeable with.
To get some ideas I suggest you try reading the Bliack Library book "13th legion, Kill Team"
They have a "scene" where they are on a tau planet and they give at least some description of a tau city
I kinda picture the tau city as having the same kind of color as their armor. There would have to be plenty of domes and tall spires and such. To have some cover you could have like anti-grav cars in the street. The anti-gravness would really add to the whole futuristic look. Cool idea. Put a pic up when your building it, im interested in what the outcome will be.

Something I always feel would work is the central plastic hub caps of modern cars. When I see these by the roadside I often think "that would make a good Eldar or Tau domed building". Don't go pinching them though!
Ryan Dancey, Vice President of Wizards of the Coast, believed that TSR failed because of "...a near total inability to listen to its customers, hear what they were saying, and make changes to make those customers happy." Are you listening, Games Workshop ?
Bwaha! When I see these by the roadside I often think "that would make a good Eldar or Tau domed building". Don't go pinching them though!
I is da best, I is da best! I don't need dem caps I me ownes!
I like your idea there, never thought of it myself.
But as you say, those ideas are the general look of a Tau city.... now to just get enough spires and domes...
