Git this Chaos Dread off Ebay, and had to convert the weapons a bit. The ones it came with looked like an assault cannon on one arm, and a Dark Reaper Launcher looking thing on the other. Anyway, Ive now armed it with a lascannon on each arm (counts as twin linked), dread CC arm is underneath (like a scorpions tail, but underneath...) and the twin link bolter is on the body, just under 'cockpit'. Anyway, here we go:
The model used on this conversion is a dreadnaught from the old Space quest (or Star quest/Space crusade, however it is called) game. The "dark reapert launcher is actually a missile launcher in that game.
Well, if painted up decent, it might look good... just glue it on a round base, heh.
Any chance of getting a few better images? From what I can tell, it's coming along nicely.
Spambot kill tally. . .337
Well, it looks interesting from what I can see so far, but you should definitely try and get some better pictures up if you want more specific suggestions and help.
You should definitely try to make it more Chaosy (how you do this will depend on which patron god you choose) as it looks a bit clean and tidy at the moment. Also, be sure to make a nice base for it - its a different looking model and so should have a suitable noticeable base
Good luck, and try to get some better pictures
I just put it on a round base, so thats all good. As for the pics, they were out of my phone. Thing is, my phone usually has quite good pics. Maybe coz it was at night.
Ill post up better soon.
Also, would this a 'toutny legal' dread? Not sure if Space quest is GW
Ihave some better pics. Here are the links:
If they dont work try these ones:
Space quest should be legal, wasn't it a release of Space Hulk?
It looks ok, but the pics are huge so detail is still lacking a bit. Is a Chaos dreadnought even allowed that many weapons?

I like it, I think its a creative use of bits.
Though I don't think it looks like it would "fit" with a space marine army.
W/D/L Eleventy trillion billion/NONE/ NONE - I am STILL rulezor!
WINDMILLS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!
Anyway, Im using the single lascannon on each arm to count as simply a single twin-linked lascannon. I love the whole 'mech warrior' feel it gives
I did found the sapce crusade gear, and found out it was released by Games Workshop, so no Copyright is at bay, say id say its fine for tourny's. I guess it came to mind because LOtR is licenced by New Line Cinema, and due to copyright, cant be used in tournys/conversions etc.
Anyway, cheers for the Replies.
