Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hey everyone, thought I would show what I am currently working on for my new Slaanesh army. They are 'The Servants of the Sensual Fire' so I'm theming everthing around flames and the speed of fire. This is my daemon prince so far. I call him the 'Wielder of the flame of ecstasy'
He is based upon the nightbringer model with a few conversions. I have used sprue cut down on his torso to represent armour with molten metal underneath, a bit like lava. I have a bit more to do then to clean up all the gaps and details with green stuff. I plan to sculpt flames coming up the arms and from his shoulders.
Any ideas for modifications/ extra details? Please comment/criticise.
That thing is beautiful. I want to touch it.
Mindless praise aside, that truly is a fantastic model, and I look forward to seeing it completed (lots of pictures).
Thats looking very funky sofar mate; can't wait to see it finished. I do like the idea of the flaming ecstasy army, sound very cool. Just wondering what colour you are going to pant the flames in. As you are going for a slaaneshi army you could very easily get away with painting them a less conventional colour, such as purple or a crazy blue. You could even use different colour flame to differentiate between squads etc.
For the model above; I would be very tempted to mount him on a 60mm base and cover it in interesting flame and lava details. You could create a very striking model that way. Also, if you are so inclined, the LoTR balrog models have several flaming weapons which could suit this model very well.
Please post up some pictures of this model when you are finished mate; I would very much like to see how it turns out.
Thanks for the nice comments guys, I havent made a model for so long. Been doing terrain (you might have seen my train show display thread).
I have just done some sculpting on it. I use this stuff called epo putty which is like green stuff but sets really hard. I find it better to use.
Anyway, heres what i've done:
I did the flames on the models base ages ago and I have had to relearn how to do it. I think it looks ok. I was going to use a balrogs whip but i want to use this in tournaments & I heard you can't use lotr parts for copyright reasons.
The model looks quite bad in terms of paint as I stripped the previous paint job off. It will spray up nicely now though.
I will be painting it in the following colour scheme, with some modifications. The flames will indeed be a purply pink
I think I may make a 60mm base for it, thanks rp252. I havent finalised how im basing this army but it may be a coal texture with flames and little tentacles coming out of the ground.
Wow, that "thing" looks great! I think the flames on the scythe will come off real nice when its painted.
Real purty indeed!
NICE! Thats about everything that can be said, its a freaking awesome idea, and execution. Oh, any btw I loved your train table thread, truly beautiful.
If you don't need your trench section when you get back from the show...I'll take it off your hands
Anywho, good luck painting it.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys, I really appreciate it.
I have rebased it on a 60mm base and have been working on terminators and daemonettes.
You can see my terminators here (Servants of the Sensual Fire Terminators + Dread)
I'll get some pics up of the whole army when I get a bit more done.
Very neat DP, very tentically violator feel to it... shudders.
Good job, now... PAINT!
