Modeling a winged Demon Prince. I know there are the dragon wing from the Imrik, Dragon Prince of Caledor model, and they are designed to be able to fit on the Demon Prince.
However, there are the wing from the Be lakor, the Dark Master model, and in my opinion would be more suited to a demon prince. Also these wings aren't designed to go on the Demon Prince so I would imagine there would need to be some green stuff involved, and I don;t know if the wings would really be in proportion with the rest of the Prince's body. I am using the standard Demon Prince body.
Has anyone ever tried using the Be lakor wings on the prince or any other wings (like the ones on the Balrog), and if so how did it work out?

I Know GW made a conversion kit for the Daemon Prince of Nurgle to give him Wings a little while ago...
the lord of the rings balrok model also provides for an intimidating model on the field, and has some good looking wings.
Remember that you can't use Lotr sprues on WHFB\WH40K models. It's absolutely not allowed in tournaments ç_ç
The posseseds kit offers some nice wings. They're not huge but I do like them, there are 2 in each sprue, I used 1 for my flying sorcerer and 1 for the prince.

WHFB : Orks & Gobbos, Vampire Counts

I'm not planning on doing any tournaments. The wings are really just to look good on the model. Has anyone tried modeling the Prince with different wings, and how did it work out?
What i would do is take some wire and shape them into wings on the deamon prince then cover them with paper machete it comes out great and this way you can make them whatever size and shape you want
For my DP, I scoured my room looking for ideas, and found an old model dragon (plastic) that my grandmother had given me a year or two back. The thing had beautifully folded and sinister wings, and they fit almost perfectly on the prince. However, I didn't have any GS (or the knowledge to use it) so it doesn't look p[perfect.
My advice to you is, don't always look for GW pieces. There are some great alternatives you can sometimes find in your own home.

I have in fact just finished my Nurgle Daemon Prince conversion and used the Be'lakor wings.
They worked just fine as long as you just don't mind a little pinning and using green stuff.
Proportions are perfect and gives the model a really meaty look as they are thick solid wings.
I would definately advise using them!
I used the dragon wings from the old Chaos Dragon. Theyre plasic, which means you can varve them to fit perfectly using just a pinch of greenstuff. It looks really good, and as I'm using Raptors with the Possessed wings it's like an wholesome look throughout the army.
