I've been wanting to make a jeep for ages. The idea was a classic style jeep crewed by three imperial guardsman, a driver, a passenger and a machine gunner in the back. The basic idea is an imperial version of the jeeps used by the us during WW2 and Vietnam. Unfortunatly it seems I'm going to have to make it from scratch and as this will be my first major conversion I'd appriciate any suggestions or advice. I dont even know where to start...

If you really feel like having Jeeps, i guarantee you could find a model jeep in the same scale as WH40k, you probably wouldn't be allowed to use it in tournaments but they'd work. Plus you could find them cheaper and more common than scratch building.
Just a thought

*Karate Chop*. You have just been judo linked to an article on LO on how to convert a SM landspeeder into a hummer. Hopefully ideas will sprout from my martial link arts.

You take a 1/35 german Tiger tank, covers it with plasticard in random shapes, gives it a coat of black spray paint and then a sloppy drybrush of boltgun metal - and voila! An ork battle wagon... Only it still looks like a badly disguised german Tiger. At least to me...
If I really wanted jeeps for my IG-army, I would build them out of a modified SM Landspeeder. A one of a kind battlefield construct made out of a crasched LS, perhaps...
