Okay maybe this should be in modeling section but since nobody really frequents there I thought I'd post it here. I just finished building my raptors completely with jump packs and all weapons and arms in place expecting them to be able to stand on a table without falling over. As it turns out, they are ALL unbalanced and almost always fall over if you jostle the table just a little bit. Do any of you have this problem? And if so... how do I fix it? I am hesitant to bend the model since the little flamey thing can break so easily, and I also don't want to put it on a bigger base. I've heard washers work but maybe I am doing it incorrectly since mine still fall over!
this happened to me and my raptors as well. You can cut up the metal sprue holding the special weapons and any other sprues so they can fit under the base. Put this metal piece where it needs to be under the model, glue it and it will balance out the model. I also used some extra bits and put some on the bases, like a space marines head. This will also help balance.
if this doesn't work, which it should, then regular assault marines can also be converted.
Yeah, the raptors models are some of the worst balanced models out on the market at the moment. As Soul Reap said, cut the metal sprue they come on up and stick it to counter balance them, other wise id pin them to a normal base and stick a small coin to the underside so its sturdier.
You can also glue coins to the bottom side of the base, assuming there's room. In some cases, you'll need to cut the coins in half, but this is illegal, so I'm not suggesting it. ;Y
Spambot kill tally. . .337
I based mine with some industrial ruins to keep it balanced.

The "A Smart Player Will..." theory is a complete paradox. If we make an assumption that everything we do is outsmarted, then theoretically we can never win.
has anyone tried using BBs? I'm worried that they will be too light.
Okay, destroying goverment property (money) is illegal, but what about those souvenir coin pressing machines? Those machines destroys pennies!
I usually cut up the left over pewter pieces and stick them under the base for counter balance. I've seen one dude in my local GW store that makes his own mold to cast counter weights right from liquid lead.
Anima Tactics - try it out!
You could always do what I did and just special order the old raptor models that did not have this problem. They may not look as good but they do not overbalance.
