Hello, I am starting Harakoni Warhawks with all the carapace armor made from green stuff and I need some really impressive bases that stick with the fluff and theme, any ideas?
That's right, llamas can parachute.
You could put walls onto the bases and place platforms made of wire onto these. Onto these you could put your troopers to elevate them.
Or you could cut some of the transparent rods, you use to put flyers onto their bases, to the right size and attach the troopers with these to the ruined walls on your base. Just let the mini stand on one end of the rod and glue the other side to the building or glue one side of the rod to the building and the other side to the backpack.
You have to balance the whole mini carefully if you want to do this.
And a pic... to make it easier to understand.

Putting up a plastic wall as above looks really nice, in my opinion. You can pose the models, with minimal cutting, so as to make them look like they're leaping or landing on the wall. This "action shot" really looks great!
If you dont want to spend years modelling this army then you could do any heavy weapons on the bigger bases and have the men mid drop or setting up, taking off grav chutes etc. Have a look at some photos of just landed paras and see what they have around their feet this may be quicker to do on the majority of your force. Then you could do the odd squad or vets or command etc with the more complicated ideas shown above.
Hope that helps

I just started my drop troops army, empire state troops/militia w/catatchan arms and space marine backpacks. I'm planning to do some of the bases with green stuff jet flames comin out the bottom. what models are you using for the warhawks base? cadians? I'd like to see some pics if ya can cause I never got any good ideas for making them carapaced.
