I'd been considering buying one of these for a while, what finally cinched it was that I saw a picture of the box which has miniatures on it - from the picture on the online store I thought it was quite small, but when I saw them with "Barries" on for comparison I realised it's actually massive!
Once I got it home and tore open the box I was still very impressed.
It was also really easy to prepare for gaming - all I did was 1 quick coat of Chaos Black spray, a drybrush coat of Codex Grey and Goblin Green, then a coat of thinned PVA and a dip in the static grass later, and I had a piece of terrain that looks just the job! I even managed to watch TV (an old episode of Michael Palin going Pole to Pole) while I was doing it!
So in conclusion I really recommend these products for anyone looking for more terrain for using on an open table, I plan to buy the 'normal' gaming hill and maybe another modular one, as I am so happy with it!
Any chance of a pic of your hill, Chris, so that I can see it size and looks-wise? It's not in stock anywhere around me, so that would be pretty cool.
If you are refering to the modular hill recently released by GW then I must agree that it is a nice addition to any battlefield.
Modular design always helps to give more options and with the ability to paint and design the surface in finish it makes for great adaption.
If you have some photos avaliable I would really like to see, because I am considering one myself.

I WAS IN THE IMPERIAL (Norwegian) GUARD!
With Miniatures for scale:
Hope these help some of you get an impression of how it looks. Oh and I know the pictures are crappy quality but I did them on my phone in a bit of a rush, so I'm not really bothered!
Waitasec. Your PHONE take pics that well? Man, my first gen Razr makes me feel all geezerlike ;o
Great job on the hills and thanks for the info.
RecklessFable's Journey to Mediocrity (Painting an IG army)
I've been addicted to World of Tanks lately and neglecting my IG... But it is so... much... fun!
Nice job, Now you just have the "Shadow Guard" to paint.
I will most likely buy these now once I build a table.

hey your 3rdwith minuitures (or whatever) on it has about 15 tanks in the background. Did you buy one of those 2000000£ tank companies?
Trust not in your memory, for it is dumb.
Eldar: 1500 points (El'Aleal Craftworld) Ok, I made it up...

Recklessfable - It's not that flash it's just a Nokia N73. Compared to the Razr V3i I had though it is a huge improvement!
aetherguy - I've got more than just those to paint... painting is definitely not my strong suit!
eldarock - I didn't get an Emperor's Fist Tank Company, but I got the 3 Leman Russes and 3 Basilisks boxes. I had a few tanks already, these new additions were there to take me up to an Armoured Company army size.
Thanks to all of you for the feedback :-)
