Heyas, Im wondering if anyone can tell me where i can get those beautiful bases alot of the Golden Daemon entires use - and what they are made off? it looks like wood but im not sure
here are a few pictures of the bases im talking about (excuse my poor english btw)
It depends, if you are talking about the "base" or the "basebase"
I think the most common material for the building scenic bases (those that the model stands upon) are things like Plasticard and such.
But for the "basebase" the big thing under the scenic base, I think wood is quite common. Like the kind you'd get for interior decoration. I don't have a clue what it's called in English. But it's being used in corners, where the celing and the floor meets the wall.
i think the 'basebase' is a wodden disk in most cases, you can probrably find most at your local hobby store if you look around a little. the bases that are done are mostly done with plasticard or other materials (if your talking the stair or grating on your examples)
You can find a wide variety of display bases at craft stores such as michaels. Most come natural so you have to stain them or paint them.
You could also try a store that sells trophies.
I have seen people use all kinds of things even going so far as using the tops of spray paint cans, paint pots, etc.
