I am making some alterations to my HE dragon. It is one of the old 'S' dragons, not the fancy new elven dragon.
I started on the wings the other day, flaring them out. The idea is that the wings will be at the top of the down stroke with the dragon about to take off.
Here is one of the wings front and back they both look like that.
I was wondering whether green stuff is the best to smooth out the wings, and hoping to get any other feedback. It's my first real extensive conversion and large miniature all at once so any advice and criticism would be great.
I think that I can sand this stuff down as well it has set pretty hard.
Thanks in advance
i would reccomend sanding it down, becuase you dont want to add more and make the wings thicker. Keep them nice and think, and try to make them as leathery looking as you can.
And no fingerprints please.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
Ok so I have carried on trying to improve the wings.
This is what I have got after some sanding and grinding. Originally this was supposed to be for the mounted contest but I think that i will run out of time.
Real Life getting in the way.
You won't really see the top side of the wings (second picture) and I don't know if it is worth putting the texture on them (might cut the wings in half by accident).
Again I would welcome comments and criticisms.
You might be able to get around not cutting in the texture by just painting the lines in. Other than that, it's looking a thousand times better.
very nicly done for the wings man, i was getting into a conversion for my dark elf dragon (after seeing the new high elf one) but at the moment all ive done for it was break the wings off right now im lazy and trying to paint up some ogres
