Now I know that the tau have titan sized skimmers/ships, but what about a titan crisis suit type. Like using a gundam or patlabor model and converting it up so it looks more tau-like. Is this in any way legal, and if so, what could I use a rule basis?
erm well is it legal, nope, you would have to use something like VDR to set up rules, but if your mates will play you, dont let that stop you.
On the other hand, a brief read of Tau background from IA3 shows the Tau do not have Titans, their answer to Titans are the Tiger shark AX10s and Manta
Everything you have been told is a lie!
Those are some pretty great conversions.
I do have to chuckle at how often that particular gundam model gets used as a 40K titan though!
jamsessionein, that mech looks absolutely beautiful!
The only thing that's always bothered me about things like this is that the Tau have hover technology. Why would you ever manufacture a walker when you have hover technology? Especially one of titanic proportions; there are lots of reasons why making a walker that big is extremely difficult, not the least of which is the structural strength required in the legs to keep the body upright. It would be a lot easier to get rid of the legs and mount that whole thing on a hover platform, making a super-hover-tank.
And the Rabbit, your post shows me that someone beat me to it; I was thinking of making a giant-sized XV Suit as a showpiece. I was taking measurements on the XV pieces and everything... Grrr...
I build, I convert, I sometimes paint, and once in a while, if I'm really lucky, I might even play.
If you think Mathammer doesn't work and dice cannot be predicted, there's a whole field of mathematics called probability that would like to disagree.
Man, that green/yellow titan is beautiful, just beautiful.
*STOMP* Die, puny humans! *STOMP, STOMP STOMP*
Any idea where the originals come from, jamsessionein? I wouldn't mind seeing how that thing was built.
