Because you have so many figs on each base. That is why most people only put 3 or 4 models on each base for Rippers. That and the fact they are kinda hard to get, so people want to make then stretch.
now THAT looks like swarms. Great!
W/D/L Eleventy trillion billion/NONE/ NONE - I am STILL rulezor!
WINDMILLS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!
Sinjin, i can't take credit for the sculpt or even a conversion, these are the Forgeworld Ripper swarms you can order, no changes at all. Just glue them to a 40 mm base and go.
Now that i have these 3, i've been packing the remaining non-forgeworld rippers i have much tighter on the bases, i'll post a photo up of them later.
Are they dipped? The carapaces have the marks of being dipped.
If you think Mathammer doesn't work and dice cannot be predicted, there's a whole field of mathematics called probability that would like to disagree.
well, the minwax was painted on, not actually dipped, but yes, that's how i've done all my nids (i like the slimy look) I'm not entirely thrilled with how a few of the carapaces turned out, but it's consistent with the rest of my army so far.
I never liked those ripper models, there's too many.
But they're painted very nicely.
