Well, seeing it's Apocalypse time I thought I'd make something big. This is a sort of thunderhawk for my chapter, made out of an upturned Lego boat, plasticard and a manufactorum, as well as bits from other kits.
The chapter "look" is steampunk, so everything looks as if Victorians designed it, hence the battleship feel. The model at the front is for scale. Comments and suggestions are appreciated!
Über cool Looks more like a radical AdMech (or radical Inquisitorial) transport than a Space Marine Thunkerhawk. But hey, it still looks awesome! and I love the victorian-style look!
Just make sure you don't paint it up like an eldar transport

I like how different it is. You can almost hear the brass playing as this thing descends from the sky, clanking and whirring, delivering death to the enemies of the Emperor. Are your marines also themed like that?
Give it a zeppelin balloon thing!
But yeah, looks sick, but you'll need to add detail to the outside or it'll look retarded.
yeah some banners down the side or something so the hull isnt so flat and boring.
It just needs more stuff in general. Like pipes, tubes, wires, those round ship windows, and tons of gears and cogs. It will be hard to pull off, but it will look sweet if you do.
The zeppelin idea might look cool, test it out.
I was uh, joking...
But yeah, try it.
I can't say i am a fan of the tie fighter wings... but other than that its cool. just make the wings out of plasticard. and add a shizload of bits to make it look more high teck.
That is not dead which may eternal lie,
for in strange aeons even death may die.
There's something about the main hull of it that reminds me of Jabba's hover yaucht thingy in Star Wars Episode VI...perhaps the Tie wings just put me in that state of mind?
Anywho, I would agree that you'll be needing more pipes and cogs and what not for a more steampunk feel. Good start though!
