Base painted as an ash wasteland...
Nice work you did on the base, and on basing the model. Keep up the great work!
I love it!
"Give them nothing, Take from them everything! Nevermore!"-battle cry of the Ice Specters chapter.
I agree with GMCL, its a nice model but the red may need a little bit of extra highlighting, can't really see due to the pictures though, as most pictures don't show off model details very well, no matter what camera or location you use . Would also like to see some close-up shots of the penitent guy if you can. How was it to paint anyway? I've always liked the model and have thought about picking one up as a general display piece, so thoughts would be appreciated 8Y.
Thanks for all the kind words. Much appreciated! :party2:
GMCL and Reaper. I agree with you, it does need an extra highlight on the red.
Reaper, I think there may be some tighter shots on the driver in WIP link I mentioned above? Else let me know and I'll post one
Overall the engine was okay-ish to paint. IMO the driver in particular was not as crisply cast as it could have been, and some of the detail was a bit soft.
THanks again folks
Very nice paint job. Like the PEs with painted parts (not pure metalics like mine)... One thing though - do not use transfers on such nice models - they SCREAM in your face when you look at the model. I find that even poor hand painted symbols, icons or what not are looking much better than the most detailed transfer...
Rep for you!
I know what you mean. After I put them on and let them try I thought 'Mmmmm, shouldna done that... they're waaay too bold'
Oh well, live and learn
Thanks again for commenting (and the rep)
Looks good. I think you need to make another level of highlights and shadows on the red. If you want to go the extra mile you could start adding grease and grime to the metal gears and pistons. It would make it look realistic and battle-worn.
