Need help with a color scheme

I would like anyone who can help to try and identify this color http://ne.games-workshop.com/news/ch...ns%20of%20Thor

They are from an old Chapter Master competition. The only thing I have understood from the colors used was that he lightly drybrushed Boltgun Metal in the end to the armor... ok and the White of the cloaks is obvious...

The only thing I cannot understand is the color of the armor... He must have started off by black primer and then what?

Thank you all in advance! ;o

It looks to me like there is some brown in it, Tsele. Try mixing something like two parts Codex Grey, two parts Black and one Part Scorched Brown. Also, it seems quite close to 'Cold Grey' on the Vallejo colour chart.

Actually it looks like cold grey although sometimes the color in the pot changes when applied on a model... Hadn't thought so far the case he used Vallejo colors...

    Thank you Xethemez

Looks like he used some brown mixed with the gray as a shading color, and highlighted with lighter gray and Boltgun Metal or Chainmail. It's a good color. Very 'cold iron' looking.

Very cool models, those, by the way, they look very intimidating...
The colour is a good one too, it fits the style
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.

Think I found the color, or the closest I've seen.

992 Neutral Grey from the Model Color line of Vallejo paints.
