Just click on a thumbnail to see a larger pic. There are three squads of Lootas, each with their own theme and squad name. Enjoy.
First up we have Da' Red Berets, whose obsession with umie tactics is rumored to extend so far as to lead them to aim at the vulnerable areas of enemy targets. This radical disreguard for proper ork kultur keeps them forever on the fringes of the warband.
Next up we have King Rich'Ard's Kr00sadaz, a bunch of high-caliber loonies who have traveled from one side of the galaxy to the other in search of Da' Holy Keg.
And finally we meet Lootin' Hud and his Merry Boyz, continually redistributing the warbands wealth through creative theivery. They live (and die) by their motto: "Take from da' rich and keep it."
Let me know what you think.
I am impressed by your creative use of Lego. Lego plus orks can only be a good thing.
Also, Robin Hood orks is super. I look forward to seeing their little hats in green.
'Cause theyre super-fun to make I guess . Well, its blatantly obvious WHY they're called Da Madboyz... Crazy orks... I mean come on, some of them are using missile launchers as generic weapons 8X. I have no idea whats going on in the second Red Beret pic from the top either, plus I love the guy with the two smoke launcher rokkit launchers :rofl.
Those are awesome, they must have been a blast to make, and they'll be a blast out on the table, heh.
Lootas provide something that you can't get out of any other part of the Ork list, which is long-range fire support. Enough shots to pepper infantry, and enough strenght to take down all but A14 tanks, and the most lethal unit in all of 40k to skimmer tanks, with a cheap cheap pricetag for what they can do, I think the better question is 'why would you not take three units of lootas?'
They're awesome man. I especially love the one eleventh from the top in the first set. I would pay good money to see some of these actually shoot, i can only imagine orks flying everywhere from the sheer recoil You've given me some great ideas for my own orky konversions in the future.
Perhaps they could also be storm boyz?
But yeah I suppose they do sorta ROCK!
But one full squad should be sufficient, you sorta need some tankbustas for the bomb squigs (I love the idea).
But really, the new codex suffers from not enough elite and heavy support slots...
So, ironically, a lot of these bits were originally earmarked to make jump packs.Nah, give me a 48 inch range for my anti-tank. Anything with a shorter range is just going to get sigled out an annihilated by your opponant too early on to do much. But one full squad should be sufficient, you sorta need some tankbustas for the bomb squigs (I love the idea).
