The theme of this contest is snipers. This is an ode to those brave souls who stand back from the battle and shoot down the opposition. The means your Devastators, Master Engineers, Crossbowmen, Rangers, and Obliterators. If you envision this model running forward to engage in bloody combat, it just won't fit.
So have fun and be creative. Use the contest to add a nasty sniper character to your army, or if that doesn't float your boat, perhaps a Lascannon team cleaning their weapon?
Closing date; As a special holiday gift to all entrants, the deadline for this contest is being extended to 23:59 (GMT) 4th January 2008
[edited for new deadline... -t.]
People entering have one month in which to design, build and paint a single based model to the theme set. Members will be expected to post their pictures which will then be placed into a thread for voting. It is done so that people can improve their skills, and try out things. And purely for fun, there is no prize or anything, just the fun of it
1.) Models from any manufacturer as is allowed, as are scratch built models.
2.) There is one month to each project.
3.) One base (any size) per entry... Multiple models permanently fixed to the single base are allowed. No armies on display boards though.
4.) Models painted within the time frame are looked upon favourably. (It is of course impossible for us to check). Please use this competition to come up with a new idea.
5.) Pictures can be no wider than 700 pixels
6.) Maximum of two pictures can be posted. Single pictures of multiple views (montages) are allowed.
7.) The organisers of the competition have the right to refuse entry to any applicant if they feel it doesn't meet the criteria
8.) Voting. It is considered bad sportsmanlike to vote for yourself. You are voting on what you think is the most original, unique, clever conversion with the most groundbreaking painting techniques.
And good luck to all!!

I'm in, looks like fun, now to settle on some of the ideas I have floating around.
I'm in... provided I can bring a Sniperfex.
Well, I know what I want to paint, but I don't know if my budget can stand to it, what with christmas and a new camera straining the wallet atm...
We shall see.

Cyric I thought you said you weren't trying to usurp the kuffster...what have you done with his most amazing regalness of amazing things? :rofl
I'll have to think about this contest. I've been thinking about entering one for a while, but I would have to think of an entry and I would like to get started on my dragon really...hmmm...
Nothing to see here... keep moving... - KU

Thou shalt remember:
Warhammer Fantasy armies do NOT have Codices. They have Army Books.

Few questions. (Joy, I know, more questions.)
A) Can I paint up a squad of rangers for my Eldar army?
If not, can I do like a sniper/spotter setup?
Bah, I was gonna have a building full of snipers too! Oh well, I'll find something.
