So I'm considering getting some raptors. However, I don't like their jetpacks.
So.... I was wondering if I could get all of your opinions. Which do you think would look better for their wings?
( I'm going for a daemonic look )
The wings from chaos furies.
C) The wings from the new possessed models. ( Hopefully I can just buy the sprue with only the wings )
D) Somehow make my own pairs out of green stuff.
O.... and I'm thinking of making them a nice halo like Celestine has, however, it will be a pentagram.
Reaper Miniatures sells a pack of 4 pairs of batlike wings for $10. Item #03182. Should be a good size for Raptors.
(They also have Angelic wings, #03181)

I reckon Chaos Fury wings are too large.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
Maybe furie wings but clip them down a bit? I personally LOVE the raptor jet packs, but if you were after wings, those ones look cool enough.
The Possessed wings would probably be the prettiest option, I've seen the wings on their own on eBay and one or two online bits stores (don't remember which ones unfortunately). Unfortunately they tend to be about $10 each before shipping and handling, which personally I found a little steep. If you do end up with the full Possessed sprue, some of the other backpacks (namely the ones that look like they have scything talons over the shoulders) could probably be converted into wings by stretching some greenstuff between the talon and the backpack.
Chaos Fury wings should work and are what I plan on using (bonus: if you buy the box you also get 10 generic Lesser Daemons, should you actually have a use for them). Haven't gotten the wings yet, but I planned on cutting the shoulder vents off of regular CSM backpacks, drill a hold through the top, rounded bit and then pin the wings on straight through the backpack. Smooth everything out with a bit of greenstuff and you should have something very similar to the new Possessed wings (with potentially more posing options). I disagree that the Fury wings would be too big as I'm fairly certain the possessed wings are actually larger.
If you're willing to do a fair bit of converting work, you could always check out the fantasy range. My Raptor champion uses the old fantasy Daemon Prince wings, which are huge for the model but after a little careful posing and building the model up a fair bit it looks great (and really, to lift a huge marine in thick power armour you would need ridiculously oversized wings). Fellbats from the Vampire Counts range may offer some possibilities as well.

Heh, I've never liked those jetpacks myself either... Plus the models never stand up properly :C. Yeah if you can get enough of the possessed wings they should do the job nicely. May also be worth checking out harpie wings from the Dark Elf fantasy range, as they might work .
Hmmmm those harpy wings seem to also fit what I'm looking for.
Try a marionette look. Attach four thin metal rods (about an inch and a half long) to the models (elbows & shoulders) with green stuff.
Just a thought.
