I heard that you can fix the weapons on vehicles using magnets so you can just swap out weapons when you want to.
Can someone please tell me how to do this and what type of magnets to use?
Cut/drill into the miniature to create a cavity sufficient for the magnet, glue the magnets in (taking care to set them in so that you have opposing poles at the connection point so that they attract each other rather than repel) and that's it. Some people also pin those parts together (except the pins are glued only to one of the parts so that they can be removed) to make the connection more stable and make sure that the parts don't start spinning around on the joints. Can someone please tell me how to do thisThat depends on how small and strong you want them to be. Rare Earth magnets are supposedly the strongest, but you can use some weaker ones just as well.what type of magnets to use?
Also, some people make connections using plates of ferrous metals instead of magnet on one side of the joing - this has it's advantages as well as disadvantages and can be useful in some conditions.
I believe you can get them from Darkvault games quite cheaply and Graham, who owns the shop, plays so he can talk to you on the phone and sort out the right magnets for the job (it helps when your magnet reseller knows his XV8s from his XV88s)
Everything you have been told is a lie!
Thanks for the advice this should help me out a lot
