I can't stand working with metals and have so far converted Plastic Mararuder Horsemen w/ flails (Empire Pistoliers/Flagellants). And was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to convert plastic chaos knights. Using the Empire Knightly Orders and any other box eg. Knights of Bretonnia.
They don't need to have chaos warrior heads or shields (they can do though) but need to show their allegiance to Nurgle somehow. Was thinking about using some of the Bretonnian helms....
Nurgle? Just soak them in nail polish remover for an hour.
Hey presto, instant corroded, melted and oozing look.
(note: it's best to use some cheap second-hand eBay models for that...)
Depending on how much you like green stuff, you could cut a chaos warrior front in half at the waist below the belt(usings a blade ) and then cut the legs in half. Remove the chainmail over the groin. Then take the back cut the cloak in half then green stuff the model back together in a mounted position. Then green stuff the model into a mounted possition. Then put some chaos emblems on the horse and do what you can to make him nurgle (or just paint him green)
You could also dig up the old chaos warriors, I dont realy know those models too well but I think they would work better.
Why don't you like metals? I hate plastic myself.
Without greenstuffing I can only think to maybe combine knights (of your choice) and zombies, or somthing like that, to use the warriors as mentioned or to use old Battle Masters knights.
Up, up and away!
