Welcome to Librarium Online!
I've recently bought a real nice Heroclix miniature I'd like to repaint. However, it seems to be made from a different sort of plastic than GW uses.
Is it safe to use the same paint removers as I use for GW plastics?
I don't know. Have you got a disposable clix to test it on?
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
We've tried this sort of thing before for Mechwarrior miniatures. The paint it pretty much bonded to the plastic. It can be removed, but not without melting the plastic under it. Just clean it and spray it down, it's not thick paint at all.
The cleaner in my guide in my signature should work fine, it has no effect on plastic, even thing plastic and details. I hope that helps.
I would try to just prime with a thin primer like GW primer, or even paint on primer that vallejo has.
