I cannot think of a more ridiculously priced fig in the GW model range...
I find myself wanting to do an Immortal heavy Necron army. I have 2 ideas to make this affordable on my college student budget. But I need some help to make it a reality.
1. Use "counts as" rules for an immortal. Convert some kind of machine-like model to be a suitable immortal. Maybe even just buy the appropriate gun and have the model hold it.
2. An "undead" themed army. Skeletons holding gauss blasters, etc. But again, what to use as immortals?
I'd kinda rather just do idea #1, for the simplicity. But I'd like to hear any and all suggestions on how to accomplish either/both ideas.
Why not just convert them? Buy a box or two of regular Necron Warriors, then extend their shoulders and double up the blaster.
Sleeping, not dead.

They sell clear-green rods of plasticard, you could cut them up and just glue another one somewhere with wires?
Their is a guide on here somewhere to converting warriors to flayed ones and immortals.
