i find brasen brass around the edge with bolt gun metal in the center gives a look of paint chip
Perhaps try some rust as stated above - silver metalic with some browns and reds, chestnut inks... Green inks on hydraulics, bronze metallics on some piping...., brown drybrush on the bottom half of the tank...
Well... I thougth that rust and dirt was the same, no matter the colour of the veichle?
But I migth be wrong...
Currently painting the Waaagh! of Warboss Borboss - Goff and Evil Sunz warband
Its more that its easier to see the weathering on say a white tank. The techniques I use for my snow tansk just wouldn't show up at all on this chimera. I may go for a really light coloured dust (tbh all dirt ends up as a pale yellow brown in the end I should know see enough of the damned stuff...).
Il try and post up a better pic when I do some more on the tank which will probs be this weekend sometime. Please do comment more though as It is very much a work in progress.
Thanx for the suggestion sso far will be trying them out!
