Right, so I got a box of tactical marines the other day and instead of using them as ANOTHER ten-man squad with bolters, I thought I might go and make myself a 10 man Command Squad instead.
Conversion time! So far, I've got two marines with two bolt pistols (Counting as a Bolter - you see, I have True Grit for my squad, so they all get an extra CCW anyway - might as well have a Bolter and True Grit instead of BP+CCW), a Marine with two combat knives and a pistol slung away (I'll stick a Bolter on there somewhere for WYSIWYG), one Marine with two flamer pistols (see below), a Standard Bearer, a Company Champion with a specially modelled Bolt Pistol (those are cut up missiles from the missile launcher sprue acting as barrels in the picture below FYI) and a combat shield (stolen from the Tau), and lastly a Sergeant with two chainsaws (BP+CCW, BP is on his leg).
Coming soon is a Marine with two Plasma Pistols and the other basic marines.
P.S I know it's been done before
By the way, who can actually hold a Company Standard? Or a Sacred Standard? They're listed as a Standard Bearer Only (or something) but Standard Bearers in the Command Squad entry aren't allowed access to the armoury?
Looks awesome mate! Love the top flamer guy, you've got the stance right.
The knife bloke looks a little bit awkward though, I'm not sure why.
But I call to God, and the LORD saves me.
I agree- the knife guy's pose seems unnatural. I like the others though.
Up, up and away!
I like the bottom guys pose, but to make it really stand out put a eldar under him with his hand up trying to block. BLOODY ELDAR!!!

quoting from the space marine codex...
All specialists with terminator honours may select additional equipment from the space marine armoury. It also says in the sergeant section, if the sergeant has terminator honours, then all the other space marines in the squad may be given terminator honours at a cost.
hope that helps
I thought that meant that they get Terminator Honours, but not access to the armoury?
He looks weird because shoulder pads are usually angled downwards ;P
Thanks for comments!
We need a gunslinger with pistols holstered, daring you to draw.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
the knife bloke looks a bit off because its such an unnatural pose, pretend you were trying to stab someone standing up straight like that with two knives, you'd feel silly. he needs to be more agressive, point his torso over a bit, cut down that leg to make it look like hes going in for the kill, or better yet - jumping.
then you'll have a winner.
basically, if you give the sergeant terminator honours you can give the other specialists terminator honours too. Which means that they can then select additional equipment from the armoury. i.e a banner bearer selecting a chapter banner, or whatever you want.
