I have used you guys in the past for several things and you have never steered me wrong so let me first say thanks to all for the adivse that has been given.
Now on to the isuue at hand. I have a GK 40K army and have gotten into Battle Fleet Gothic and want to use GK for my fleet. Does anyone have any adives on a paint sceme for the ships. I hate to ask but could you be specific.
Again thanks to all for your help.
I would imagine Silver and gold would be your best bet. Silver as the main color and gold as highlights, but thats just my opinion.
If Wolves were meant to fly, wouldn’t the Emperor have given them wings?
Grey and red?
Grey (as in grey knights :) for the hull and red for trim, or whatever colour you use in 40k.
hmmm grey knight ships hmmmmm
maybe this quote from codex: Daemonhunters will help.....
it is under inquisitorial storm troopers
Inquisitorial storm troopers are charged with the protection and security of the inquisition fortresses abd the infamous BLACK ships as they make their purity checks throughout the imperium
- hope it help
When cities burn and armies turn
and flee in disarray,
Cowards will cry 'tis best to fly
and fight another day,
But warriors know it in their marrow when they
die and fall,
It is better to have fought and lost than not have
fought at all.
the keeper of the stuff!
the knower of werty!
the master of the obvious!
The black ships are special, they travel around the empire picking up untrained psykers to carry back to where ever they are trained (Terra I think). They are part of the inquisition, but not of the Grey Knights.
I think they have a GK ship on forgeworld that is painted somewhere in there, so check that out for some help. I think that GK is silver, red/red gore, and gold. Try looking around for true sources, though, just in case.
I know the GK thunderhawk is painted in stange baby blue and red gore. I didn't understand the Baby blue either. Maybe to fool their opponents into thinking they're somebody else?
I saw the GK strike cruiser on Forgeworld. It is boltgun metal, with gold on the guns, and details. Chainmail would be good for highlights, and red/white were used for the coat of arms symbol. Red would be nice on some of the parts, it goes well with silver n gold.
Thanks guys much appreciated.
