After having finally decided on a color scheme for my IG army i need some help.
I bought a bunch of Sentinels from a...well lets say the guy propably didnt know what he was selling (foolish git, bwahahaha).
    Anyway.
The Sentinels are death world sentinels (with the leave thingy on the top). And i was thinking instead of cutting them off, just to paint them like dead/and or dying leaves.
Since my color scheme is urban, i thought it might add a flavor to it.

But in any case, can anyone recommend a way to paint dead and/or dying leaves?

    Dead leaves - black undercoat.
Next Heavy drybrush of scorched brown, some of the black should come through but not much.
A lighter dry brush of bestial brown and trim the edges and veins pf the leaves a little maybe with some leather or vermin brown.
Try that, let me see what you got when your done.

I'll try that, although i tried something else first.

First i just painted the leaves like they would look like if they were alive. Then i lightly brushed the leaves with Bubonic brown and wherever the leaves met i brushed some Bestial brown inbetween.
It came out pretty good, but i'll try yours!

    Try different colour shemes...
Try a little brow, yellow, red, redbrown and so on

Think of the spray of colour you see in autumn, everything isn't always the same colour.
