One of my metal models seemed to have grow a large metal pole out of it's foot
How the hell do I cut this god-forsaken thing off?
It's around 2-3 mm in diameter I'm guessing
Do I just get a big knife and cut it? Or is there some special clippers to assist me?
Thanks in advance
It's for mounting it on its base. Flip the base it came with over and you should see a number of holes that are roughly similar in size, choose one drill it out and stick the pole in the hole.

I came, I saw, I got a different type of Leman Russ.

It's not a 'noobiest' question. Everyone gets something confused or wrong. I remember when I used to think bits of flash and vent/gates(lumps of metal) were part of the actual model! Of course I know better now, lol. Anothing I recall is buying the classic metal Hive Tyrant, sticking it all together using an entire pot of superglue and then moaning because it wouldn't stick to the base as its foot had a round thing molded onto it...
But yeah, it's used to provide a tab when sticking your model to the base. If the base doesn't have the circular bits underneath(which is rare) you just gouge out a hole with your knife or drill it out using a pin vice. However I'm assuming you know what I'm talking about, but if ya don't I'll be happy to explain further(or someone else can if I'm offline)
p.s. What model is it, out of interest?
I've dealt with these before, but I sanded the things off. It was pretty rough.
I knew there had to be something more practical
Thanks for the responses =D
