My friend and I did not have any scenery the other day so we were forced to impervise. We used used our shoes those metal trays some things we built out of legos and I cut some trimmed some branches off of a pine tree
It was a prettt ugly scenery but just goes to show you that you can make scenery out of anything.
Oh yeah I took a shirt and threw it on there to.
Anyone else ever been faced with a problem like so, or is it just us unfourtinute souls
Dad and I haven't gone that far, but we use stuff from the dining room table a lot. Salt and Pepper shakers make good columns/pillars . The napkin holder makes a good ruins lol.
A good quick idea that doesn't make things TOO ugly is if you have some of the older Jenga blocks, the plain wooden ones. They are scaled down where if you just lay some flat on their widest part, and then stand some up on their side lengthwise, you get a decent "fire base" with cover.
"Can you put that in a memo and title it '***** I already know!'"
Church: "Ok, so we're agreed? You first!"
Sarge: "Get on with it, Griff."
Griff: "I'd just like everyone to know: that I suck."
Griff: "And that I'm a girl..."
Church: "What else?"
Griff: "And I like ribbons in my hair, and I want to kiss all the boys."
Sarge: "This has to be the best surrender of all time."
Good idea. I will have to buy some and build som log houses. That might not make a bad battle field. A human sttlement, a little one where they live in log houses.
hmm An a idea has sparked
Me and meh brother have build entire Lego cities to stage battles int..Legos are great becase you can add "batte damage" effects to them..brothers Dark Eldar hiding in a building? blow the bloody thing up..an' bury the skinny little elf &*%!@
in a pile of mutli-colored plastic rubble..waha!
I used to do that, EVERY GAME. That is untill I started playing at my game store. they 'ave lots o cool senery. now I nevva play at home.
"Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner"
-Guns don't kill people, bullets do.-
-Support your local game store! Don't buy online or from GW stores.-
Hmmm hmmm
Like the idea there...
My first terrain was also sort of "put anything on the battlefield and it looks good".
Now I usually play at my gaming club... although I am partially resposible for the terrain there too.... and it doesn't look that bad really...

I WAS IN THE IMPERIAL (Norwegian) GUARD!
lads there is no excuse for having crap scenery, try building some of these
take 6 cans of pop 6 straws 1 can of 550ml beer (empty of course) glue the cans to a piece of card upside down with the big one in the middle insert the straws into the centre of the pop cans insert 6 holes into the beer can and then paint
one power plant storage facility for you
take 4 large 500ml plastic disposable beakers & 8 smaller ones & 8 straws do the same as above with the 4 larger ones in a straight line
take one portable cd player that doesnt work (one with a tape deck in it not a wlakman) take it appart you now have 2 sections glue them to a base paint and theres 2 ware houses.
get a whole load of felt tip pens 21 is best remove the inside & thepointy end with a sharp knife (carefully i almost lost a finger doing this) glue 6 of them to a base then 5 on top & so on so forth 7 there you have a stack of pipes.
i took a broken dust devil hover apart and used the top section as a hanger and the little engine core with the wire wraped round it as a power generator,
next time you get a box with polystyrene packaging dont throw it away look at it & imagine what you can do with it (matter of fact any packaging)
i used the packaging from mr kiplings excedingly good cakes as a missile silo comlpex with just the tops of the silos showing through the earth.
i also used the plastic containers that you get fresh chicken/meat in general as little bunkers (wash these thourghly though)
the list keeps on going what im trying to say here is you are only limited in your scenery making by your own imagination now no-one expects Van Goughs from people (well not at the start anyway) but once youve been bitten by the scenery building bug you wont be able to look at any piece of ''JUNK'' without thinking 'what can i make out of that?' well hoped ive helped lads
WARMASTER of the SCHOLA PROGENIUM Alnwick Chapter (soon to be the world)
I've only had this problem when me and a couple of friends started Inquisitor. We bought our models, planned our warbands, built/converted them, and then realized all of our scenery was way too small.
So yeah out came the books, cans/bottles, boxes and generally anything that looked semi-decent on the field. For a while we thought that the we should of just played Inquisitor with WH 40k models (blasphemy, I know), but that would have solved a lot of finacial issues as well.
For ideas on how to get more terrian. Have each one of the people that you play with build on peice of a predetermined planet (industrial, Green World, Desert, Jungle etc.) and bring it over. This could be a designated once-a-month thing or even institute a night where you build scenery instead of playing.
